HEALTHY HAPPY RETREAT
NEW DATES TBC
Good Gut Health, Mindfulness Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Sound Bath.
This Healthy Happy Retreat is set to cleanse, recharge and restore you.
In this week we offer a transformative experience to detoxify and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul whilst connecting with the invigorating nature of the Italian mountainside.
With an introduction to good gut health, our program takes a holistic approach; to soothe your senses, cleanse your body, recharge your system and restore balance.
Optimising digestion and gut function isn’t just about what we eat and drink - it’s about understanding how we consume life in general and how life consumes us. Together, we will study how negative factors affect our system and learn how to minimise and eliminate those factors with positive daily practices.
A healing and holistic experience has been created for this to be a fully immersive and beautifully balanced program. Each day will consist of guided meditation, good-gut health workshops influenced by Ayurvedic practice, yin yoga & integrated reiki, sound bath healing and connecting with nature. There will also be ample time to enjoy the remarkable grounds, spa facilities and delicious plant-based dining at Mandali.
You will leave refreshed, grounded and reconnected to your inner self; all with the knowledge and tools to easily integrate healthy lifestyle habits into your daily life.
Each morning, join in guided mindfulness meditation to set your intentions for the day.
Taught by Stacey Griffin, founder of Shift Meditation.
Before lunch each day, you will be guided through a replenishing and relaxing outdoor activity for you to decompress and connect with nature. The grounds of Mandali and the surrounding mountainside forest has a lot to offer. The Japanese practice of “Shinrin-yoku”, also known as f orest bathing, is highly acclaimed for being a preventative medicine with multiple benefits in countering our increasingly urban and indoor population. You can look forward to activities such as mountain hikes, meditation walks, herb & flower picking. Each is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself back into the natural world.
Guided by retreat host Samantha Koch, founder of Healthy Happy.
In the afternoons, you will join an introduction classes to Good Gut Health, which is the foundation of this retreat. These informative gut health workshops are integrated with Ayurvedic practices and focus on adopting more of a plant-based whole foods diet for cleansing and nurturing the system. You will learn about digestion, improving gut function, nutrition, mono-fasting, clever and fun cooking classes to optimise food potential, and delicious recipes for healthy alternatives to processed foods. You will be provided with a detailed workbook for you to take these easy and inspiring lessons home with you.
Taught by retreat host Samantha Koch, founder of Healthy Happy.
Before dinner you will be welcomed into your restorative Yin Yoga and Reiki immersion.
Yin yoga is mostly floor-based where poses are held from three to six minutes using as many or as few props as needed. It is more of a meditative practice designed to help the body reach deep states of relaxation. Reiki is a Japanese form of healing, one of its meanings is "universal energy". The Reiki practitioner channels this energy to the receiver. You will guided through a beautifully sequenced yin practice, whilst you are holding these poses, you will receive Reiki in a non invasive way over particular areas of the body. A combination of limbering postures and breathing techniques are chosen to work on both the physical and energetic, with the focus on calming, balancing, stimulating and restoring the digestive system.
Taught by Natasha Tay, founder of Pocket Yogini.
And later in the evening, wind down with an immersive and restorative sound bath session. Sound therapy activates the parasympathetic nervous system to help balance the over used and usually stressed parasympathetic nervous system. Instruments such as, quartz c rystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gong, shamanic drum, tuning forks, chimes, vocal toning and more will bring you into a state of deep relaxation to help eliminate toxins from the body, clear your mind, and gently release stuck emotions and blocked energy that no longer serve you.
